On June 25th thru 26th, 2011 our intrepid group held the second annual Freedom Climb for Taiwan and Tibet by climbing the summit of Mount Washington in New Hampshire. This mountain is the highest mountain in the North-East of the United States, and as such represents a symbol for the resolve of these two peoples to not be silenced in the face of oppression and domination by foreign Chinese control.
While China and the KMT exiled government (occupying Taiwan) continue to oppress Tibet and Taiwan the flags and spirits of these two great independent nations flew with dignity and total freedom in the clear alpine air atop the summit with our group. We received many "hi-fives" and support from other hikers atop the summit and felt that in some small way we were contributing positive energy towards real change that will someday create tangible results in these two struggling lands for final lasting justice and peace.
China and the KMT do not control the truth. Both have much blood on their hands and sooner or later the people will wake up and demand positive change. This is inevitable, its just a question of time. Change is coming and Taiwan and Tibet will be free...
We thank everyone who supported us on our journey here and look forward to doing this climb again next year or celebrating final victory in Taipei and Lhasa.

Perhaps when freedom finally reigns in both Taiwan and Tibet, we may in that future time journey here to a newly free independent Tibet and Taiwan and celebrate compassion's final victory over oppression and pay proper homage to the Tibetan and Taiwanese martyrs and victims who contributed so much and suffered on the long hard decades-road to liberty and independence for Tibet and Taiwan.... Lest we forget...
We are one human family, we are inter-connected and share the same destiny together on this small blue planet in the universe; if one is oppressed and enslaved we all diminish.
